Hello, everyone! Thank you so much for all of your kind messages in response to our moving announcement. We have been working hard on transition details and spending lots of quality time with the people we love in El Salvador.
Rock City Missions Team
In the beginning of March, we hosted Dax and Kelli from Rock City Church for our last missions team as church staff. It was also a great chance for Pedro to learn more of the ins and outs of logistics for him to be successful coordinating teams in the future. Dax and Kelli shared with lots of different groups of people in our ministry: church leaders, our youth small group, CDI middle and high school students, CDI parents and staff. They also visited a new CDI family at their home in the Volcano and gifted all the kiddos with their new pair of shoes! Thank you, Rock City, for nine years of shoe gives! It was a sweet gift from the Lord having this church be our last team, because Rock City was the church I came on mission trips with on my first visit to El Salvador back in March 2014.

CDI
I spent this month working on CDI rosters and making sure all manuals were updated concerning my current roles in El Salvador. After that, I was able to meet with Pedro a few times to train him on everything and answer his questions.
Chepe and I were touched by the CDI staff and children that prepared some “despedidas”, or farewells, for us. We will truly miss these children, their parents and our lovely coworkers. Leaving each of the CDIs for the last time felt very strange, as they have become such familiar places for us. At the same time, I felt great peace and gratitude as I reflected on all the amazing things I have witnessed in this ministry. Also, it’s great remembering how little some of these student were when we first met and seeing them now in high school and taller than I am!

Iglesia Gran Comisión | Great Commission Church
Chepe has also been training those that will take over his role as production and small group leader for church. Last Sunday was his last time serving in the worship ministry, after joining twenty years ago! We are full of mixed emotions as we look forward to the future but also cherish the life we have lived here. Living abroad has taught me that mixed emotions often co-exist, and something that Jesus Himself often experienced. We’re going to soak up this last week with our people!

Reliant Support
If you are one of our financial supporters through Reliant, we are so grateful for all of your faithful giving over the years! As part of the process of returning from the field, I will be with Reliant for the next few months to help in the transition period and also meet with our partners. With that in mind, I ask that you continue your financial support to help us finish strong, cover our final ministry expenses and fund my last paycheck. Here are some important dates to keep in mind:
Recurring Gifts will automatically be shut off on June 30th (no action required on your part). After that, the Reliant fund will be open to receiving special gifts until July 31st to help cover any backpay, reimbursements or other expenses. If you have any questions about this, please feel free to reach out to me!
