Hello, I’m Ali!

I traveled to San Salvador, El Salvador from Ohio for the first time in March 2014, and I instantly fell in love with the work God was doing through Iglesia Gran Comisión (IGC) and their Children’s Development Center in an impoverished village on the side of a volcano. Long story short, over the course of many visits, God revealed to me His plan for me to move to El Salvador as a full-time missionary. In December 2015, I went on staff with Reliant Mission and moved to El Salvador on October 25, 2016. Here, I serve as the Missions Coordinator, planning the in-country logistics for the short-term mission teams that serve with us throughout the year. I am also the Child Sponsorship Coordinator for our two Centers, updating profiles to promote children for sponsorship and managing sponsor communication.

¡Hola, I’m José!

I’m native to El Salvador and joined Iglesia Gran Comisión as a pre-teen and immediately got connected through serving on the worship ministry. For me, Gran Comisión had become more than a church. It had become my second home and second family. After years of serving as a volunteer youth leader and worship leader,  I joined the church staff in November 2017. I am responsible for our social media presence, Sunday service production and service teams as well as supporting our social projects through photo/video production and while hosting mission teams.

Along the way, we fell in love and got married in October 2019. As we seek out God’s will for us here in El Salvador, we are continuously working to leave our earthly desires behind a live a life centered on God and The Great Commission (Matthew 28:19).
